IFP-Palestinian Alumni was established in 2008 by a group of Palestinian fellows who had the opportunity to pursue their post-graduate studies through Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program (IFP). This program was launched by the Ford Foundation in 2002 to provide higher education opportunities for individuals who have exceptional academic achievements yet do not have access to education and this is in order to utilize their knowledge and experiences to become leaders in their respective fields. Since the program's first selections in 2001, over 80 Palestinian fellows have been selected from diverse social and academic backgrounds. Palestinian IFP alumni is supported by AMIDEAST Office in Palestine and IFP Secretariat in New York.
