Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) is a community mobilization and management process that empowers communities to take action on the practice of open defecation. Diarrhoea which is a major killer disease in Nigeria is a direct consequence of open defecation and poor hygienic practices. CLTS has proven to be a good approach of reducing Open defecation and thereby reducing associated deaths with diarrhoea.
