The IFP community lost a dear friend, mentor, and colleague from Nigeria to the tragic Hajj stampede near Mecca, Saudi Arabia last month. Dr. Hafsat Shittu, an IFP Fellow from 2002 to 2006, was part of the medical team assembled to accompany Hajj pilgrims.
Dr. Shittu completed her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. I would like to share some very sad news with all of you. Our dear friend and colleague, Dra. Fúlvia Rosemberg, passed away on Friday, September 12, in São Paulo.
